The Cat and Bird Split 7″ is a very limited edition split between The Enright House and the late Break Mission Kills. The discs were created by Peter King in New Zealand and are lathe-cuts made out of see-through polycarbonate. The entire run is limited to 100 copies only.

All 7″ tracks, including bonus tracks, are available as a free mp3 bundle that comes with high-res artwork. Please consider donating a dollar or two safely through paypal at catandbird.info (you don’t even need a paypal account to do so). Six Acoustic Renditions [Sleepy Bedroom Operations, 2008]

Handmade CD wallet with photo inside

[01] Scattering The Sun Like Gunshot
[02] Darkwave Equals MC Squared
[03] Broken Hands
[04] Solitaire
[05] Fever And Green
[06] On The Banks Of The Rhein

Six acoustic renditions, performed by myself, Thomas Lambert, Evan Schaare and Simon Gemmill. We recorded the six songs in a single evening at a local school gymnasium in January 2008. The takes include mistakes, traffic noise, an out-of-tune piano, but also a lot of heart.

The CD-R is a silverback with a fully white top which is directly printed on with my Canon CD-printer (no labels that could peel off or anything). The packaging itself is handmade with a thick and textured white paper wallet (professionally creased and glued at a local family business), a stick-on label, and a b/w photograph.

This recording is currently available in New Zealand at shows or via my Trade Me account, and internationally via the cool cats over at smoke cds.
